This warm and sweet simple syrup is one of my favorite sweeteners. It is so versatile and can be used for a variety of things.

What sugar is best for simple syrup?

While you can use warm brown sugar like we do here, you can also use cane sugar, raw sugar or coconut sugar. All of them work great with equal part water for a lovely simple syrup.
