4th of July Drinks & Mocktails

Spread the love

These 4th of July drinks and mocktails are festive in red, white and blue and so easy to make! We’ve included our favorite non-alcoholic red, blue and white wine sangria recipe that can be made in under 10 minutes and will be a crowd pleaser.

Red, Blue and White Mocktail

I’ve been wanting to make a white wine sangria for you guys for awhile now. Since it’s the time for celebrating our countries freedom, I decided to make it a bit more festive with this recipe and our summer mocktails!

You could easily change out the strawberries and blueberries for lemons, pears and pineapple to keep it all white. To change up the red, white and blue theme you could also add raspberries and blackberries instead of watermelon and blueberries.

Be sure to check out all our 4th of July food ideas for great accompaniments. Or you could just give these gluten-free apple pie mason jars a try. They go great with this mocktail recipe and some fireworks!

What is a good white wine for sangria?

We recommend using a truly 0.0% non-alcoholic white wine for this recipe. Since you are adding in plenty of fruit, it doesn’t need to be an overly expensive variety.

I like this Pierre Chavin zero blanc. It is made in France and tastes great. They also have a wonderful non-alcoholic rose.

Both work great in our recipe as well as this watermelon and honeydew sangria recipe from my friend Eden at Sugar and Charm. It is super simple to make it non-alcoholic with the right 0.0% wine.

How to make it

Step one: Add all fruit but the green apple to your glass pitcher
Step two: Slice the green apples horizontally about 1/2 inch thick so that you get a pretty star shape in the middle
Pro Tip: Remove any seeds carefully before adding to the mocktail to avoid drinking them
Step three: Using a star cookie cutter, cut out star shapes from the sliced apple disks
Step four: Add the extra pieces of apple that came off the stars (no food waste here!) into the pitcher along with the non-alcoholic wine to the pitcher
Step five: Add the sparkling cider
Step six: Stir well and top with your apple stars, saving one for each glass to serve
Pro Tip: Add raspberries and pineapple for a bit more fruity flavor

Can you make white sangria ahead of time?

Absolutely! This is best when left to deepen the flavors for at least 30 minutes. If you can let it rest in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight, the taste is even better.

How do you store it?

Like our refreshing lavender lemonade and limeade or blackberry sage lemonade, it can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
